You can book a photo session through my website at psifotografka.cz/book-online or leave me a message on Instagram.
Once I receive your booking, I'll contact you to schedule the date and location. I'd love to hear your expectations and some information about your dog as well. If you have specific ideas about the final photos or examples of photos you've seen elsewhere, feel free to send them to me.

First, I'll acquaint myself with the dog to ensure they're comfortable in my presence. A little playtime and a few treats never hurt either :) Photographing your dog is always done in the form of a walk, so the dog shouldn't even realize that something is different or that they're being photographed.
Of course, we'll also take a few arranged shots, but we'll never force the dog into anything they don't want to do, and the whole session will be conducted in a playful spirit.
The main thing is for both the dog and you to enjoy it!

I'm organizing this photography session at a few selected locations around Prague, and it's necessary to prepare for a colorful explosion.
The photos are taken in a set-up environment in front of a black background - colorful powder is sprinkled on the dog's back, and it jumps over an obstacle. The height of the obstacle is determined based on the size of the dog.
It's important to consider whether your dog is capable of jumping over the obstacle, ideally on command. Or if they can sit/stand behind the obstacle and jump over it when called. If the dog has never seen such an obstacle before, it might be more complicated but not entirely impossible. Please let me know the level of your dog's abilities before booking so I can adjust the timing of the session accordingly.
You can choose from 8 colors or their combinations.

In the studio, we have the assurance that nobody will disturb us throughout the session. This provides a safe space for dogs who react to other dogs or are very timid.
Before the shoot, we'll discuss your specific preferences, whether you'd like themed photos (Christmas/birthday celebration, etc.), playful moments, or more serious portraits. I can always send you a few photos for inspiration or vice versa.
The controlled environment of the studio allows us to shoot at any time of day, so we're not bound by seasons or weather conditions.
The studio is located in Prague at Chodov with free parking.

Photos are always taken when the light is best, which is either in the morning at sunrise or in the evening at sunset. Primarily, I always try to aim for the afternoon, when it is sunset. However, if you are an early bird and it is more convenient for you in the morning hours, please indicate this in the booking form and we will definitely come up with something :)

I operate in the Prague area (+50km). If we're shooting in the vicinity of these locations, the price is according to the price list. If you specify your exact location, I'll try to suggest a verified location near you. I always select locations based on the season and the type of photography chosen.
I do not travel to clients' homes (except in health-restrictive cases), so it's necessary to be mobile, whether by public transport or car.
If you're outside Prague (+50km), an additional fee of 10 CZK/km is required.

It depends on whether we'll be photographing just your dog or both you and your dog.
For photographing your dog, please bring some favorite toys, ideally fetch toys, and treats.
Regarding collars/harnesses for your dog, it's up to you which option you choose for the shoot, or if you prefer to have your dog "bare." Just remember that this factor can significantly influence the overall impression of the photographs.
If you'll also be in the photos with your dog, I recommend dressing according to the season. In summer, any colors will look nice, earthy tones for autumn, don't hesitate to wear bold, vibrant colors in winter, and pastel shades of green or yellow for spring. Of course, it's not mandatory, and everyone has their own style of dressing, but what you wear can significantly change the final photo.
I definitely recommend considering the coloration of your dog and avoiding wearing the same color in larger quantities when choosing your outfit. A black dog in a photo with an owner who is also all in black unfortunately won't stand out much.
For ladies, I would suggest not being afraid of more pronounced makeup. Cameras tend to "eat up" a lot of it, and believe me, if you feel like it's a bit much in daylight, it's just right for the photo.

Considering that abstract portraits involve a lot of colorful powder, it's essential to anticipate that the dog will be covered in color. I recommend bringing a towel to wipe the dog off, some extra blankets for the car, and even spare clothing for yourself (you might end up a bit colorful too). Wet wipes for cleaning hands are also handy.
You'll need to bathe the dog at home, and the color may remain on white fur for a few days before completely washing out. I don't recommend scheduling this photography session right before exhibitions or other events.
The powdered colors are non-toxic (similar to those used in color runs by people).

If the dog is well-behaved and not naturally destructive, we can let the dog roam freely in the studio. Therefore, there's no need to worry about collars/harnesses.
Please bring toys, treats, and if you have them, various outfits/accessories like doggy sunglasses or hats.
If you'll be taking photos with the dog, dress according to the chosen theme (we'll discuss beforehand). I'd recommend ladies not to shy away from more pronounced makeup. Cameras tend to "eat up" a lot of it, and believe me, if you feel like it's a bit much in daylight, it's just right for the photo.

If your dog has problems with strangers, dogs or with any specific things, please let me know in the booking form or during the first consultation. We will discuss how to work with it to make the photo shoot a great experience for the dog and to avoid potential inconveniences.

Of course, it is much better to work with a dog that knows at least the basic laying down and commands. The resulting photos can be much better thanks to this. But do not despair if this is not the case. I photograph both restless puppies, disobedient dogs and constantly sitting potatoes 💛
If your dog can call and you can let him off the leash, all the better! But don't worry, it will work without it :)
